We may ALL be late...

Cleveland Boomerang School Boomerangs' design principles and instruction programs are based on the physics of flight as developed a long time ago by the people indigenous to Australia.

The Flight Rules, and the complexity of the Flight Envelope demand a superior understanding, quality of manufacture, and athletic skill to provide the TOTAL precision for the invention of HUMAN POWERED CONTROLLED FLIGHT.

Whether flown today or 10,000 years ago, the precision of understanding, manufacture and physical skill required is the same, and when possessed, easily demonstrated.

The practical proof demonstrated by the controlled flying of Boomerangs requires a complex and technical multi-step discovery process. This chain of events and knowledge of a Flying System is unique and only among all other products produced by humans that have travelled the 10,000 year road from our many and varied clever human ancestors.

The Boomerang and the people responsible make the most singular and complex technical statement to sustain over scores of centuries, predating and glaringly absent from the recorded written word.

Thus, the Boomerang has posed an intellectual threat to western civilization's rather short and rigid view of the larger world.

This intellectual situation allowed layers of academic misinformation to be heaped on the Boomerang that concealed its Technical Brilliance.

Label it a weapon, with anything that is thrown, and then much later claim to have invented most of the mechanical principles demonstrated by this remarkable device.

Remember most of this misinformation has been set in motion in just the last hundred years! Only about 1% of the total time this clever machine has been around this planet, so to speak.

There are four differences between Boomerangs and Hunting Sticks:

Although both devices demonstrate flying, grouping the Boomerang and the Hunting Stick together is a confusion similar to comparing a Top and a Ball. When handled by an educated person, both the Top and the Ball spin but are capable of behaving in a remarkably different fashion. The Top can become and remain stable, while the Ball can roll or be thrown.

The many professional persons misrepresenting the Boomerang over the past centuries probably have never in fact thrown successfully, or tried to understand these flying devices. The modern day effect of this confusion and professional exploitation is the lack of any useful explanation regarding proper Boomerang use or the Boomerang's place in the community and history.

The wheel is a useful example of a physical/mechanical device to consider when trying to understand the obscure historical record of the Boomerang. Even in ancient times if a wheel were constructed off-center or out-of-round, the relative usefulness of that wheel was clear (how little time a young child takes to learn to roll a ball). To judge the flying ability of an ancient or modern Boomerang is a much more difficult task than to judge the usefulness of an ancient or modern wheel.

Kangaroos are large fast animals.
Hunting Sticks also have to be large and fast to be effective.

The trail of misinformation that has existed about the Boomerang all the way to modern society has many participants:
